Amanda Gibbs, Principal

Amanda Gibbs (BJ, MA), is a writer, communications strategist and trained facilitator who has assisted dozens of organizations in mapping and creating brands, planning for organizational change, crafting winning campaigns as well as managing conflict. Formerly Team Leader with Envisioning and Storytelling, a Vancouver-based creative firm that assists organizations by using advanced facilitation and storytelling techniques, Gibbs now heads Propellor Communication Research.

Gibbs has a specialization in working with large not-for-profit, policy-driven organizations. As Strategic Counsel with IMPACS (the Institute for Media, Policy and Civil Society) Gibbs worked with organizations in Canada and throughout the world often in complex, conflict-driven issues with diverse stakeholders. Some of her national and international clients include: Greenpeace, Intrawest, Vancity Credit Union, Greater Victoria Harbour Authority, LEAD international, Canadian Council for International Cooperation, CIVICUS, LIU Centre for International Relations. Gibbs is a former reporter and an experienced adult educator, with a passion for capacity building and assisting organizations in achieving communications greatness.
